    Default big piano tune

was out at the blue note in todmorden last night

and dave lee aka joey negro aka jakatta aka........................................

    played a brilliant piano tune

not your usual cheesy northern or italian piano
    possibly 1991/2 ish

but one with proper piano stabs
its blew the fecking roof off

can't remember the one line that was repeated over and over

it could be a remix of inner city goodlife?
but with no vocal of 'its agoodlife'

was anyone thier / does anyone have a clue?

i'll try and type up a bit more, when i come round abit more

Bluenote : - Top little club. Been there on many occasion and the tunes are always excellent.

The classic nights there were nothing like i've heard before. More early to mid 90's underground garage than same old over played cheese.

    class!

*oh* don't know the tune though

Sounds like a good un mind

Did it have the most excellent bassline too m8 ........twinkly pianos and huge strings???......I think I know what youre on about..but this has the goodlife lyrics in. The repeated bit wasnt "I want you, I want you" (to have a goodlife of love) by any chance lol.

Wicked tune. I have it, but Im enjoying weening it out! ..

I think the one Sirius is on about is TABOO - GOODLIFE
My copy is on EU4EA records, not sure if there's any other releases, and not sure if this is what your actually after!
The line repeated a lot in this is "I want you. I want you, I want you, I want you... etc"
And the piano is sort of a one handed chord thingy.
    Hope this helps!

You spoilsports!............. I was gonna leave him dangling for a bit.

Yeah, thats more than likely the one.

May I add, its one of my alltime favourite choons and I virtually creamed mi jeans when I baught it around 1992/93.... .

If it ends up being something else, Id be interested to know.

I find it very hard to believe that 'Mr. Disco' Dave Lee would be playing 'Goodlife by Taboo'.
Im well into the Dave Lee sound and all his productions and the 'Taboo' track just doesnt fit in with him!

I'll be blown away if its Taboo! Cant imagine Dave Lee playin it! From the above description, I'd class 'Taboo' as your usual northern cheese!
