Ok here goes

the singer is female, it is from 80's/90's

the tune is very catchy, and is quite popular im sure, or was.

it is something like:

"she/i was standing at the corner....."

and it has do's in it, that make it catchy. "do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do" the do's work with the cylabels of the words.

its was in a mix by dj yoda a while back and is stuck in my head.
