Nice one Shooms, always thought it sounded like Roxanne....dloaded evthing of hers i could one day to see if i could find out if this was her, must of missed out on 'Live on Stage' tho, i'm sure i have a house mix on a set somewhere that sounds a lot diff to this.

aye - the house mix is the CJ mackintosh mix.... this is the marley marl mix - on the same 12" though...

BTW on the Pickering/Park Aug '89 tape from the Hac, does anyone know the last tune after Forgemasters? If so I think this makes it complete!

I understand its Pickering first then Park comes in after Carly Simon... I love the background noise on this one too - whistle's, airhorns, people nattering away. It may be me but you can also just about hear someone in the crowd say 'bust it' at the breakdown in Young MC...lovely jubbly...

samples the vocal scat from the middle of the old motown track - play that funky music white boy


you have side a8 as - roxanne shante , live on stage

the vocal is -- "on & on it keeps flowing, hiphop music" female rap

that vocal is defo not on any version of live on stage that i had

the house remix had the same big sample beginning as renegade soundwave - probarbly a robbery with crown noises

anybody else know what it might be ?? or am i wrong ??

ive just dug out the hiphop mixes (asat689) (marley marl / cj ) and none of the 4 mixes sound like the on&on it keeps flowing track ???

or is there a different remix with different vocals that i dont know about ??

Have to agree with Brady that orig clip I posted doesn't sound a lot like the house mix of 'Live on Stage' that I've heard, can't remember lyrics being the same, u deffo on that 1 shooms?
