Weird title for a thread, sorry its in the lyrics
There was a tune, round about 94, maybe, i got a bit lost in the 90s... it had a stomping kind of house beat but it wasnt typical house, nor hiphop, r&b yes/no idk
Sort of jazzy, mainly a piano riff over and over and a droning sound
Lyrics - (from what i can remember) (sung in jazz like way)
"Here's my interpretation... art blakey and the jazz messengers tune,
For those of you that raided the horseshoe
Especially for you"
It was a tune that featured on a tape from Home club in Manchester - DJ Tab (Tabatha, if I remember correctly). The tape was eclectic and totally amazing - if anyone has ever heard it or has it, I'd be really interested to know.
Other tunes off the tape:
Donald Byrd - Love Has Come Around
Stone Drive - Enjoy Your Life (Fabi Mix)
Cantaloop - Flip Fantasia
Arrested Development - Mama's Always on Stage
Jamiroquai - When You Gonna Learn
Galliano - Prince of Peace [Regal Mix]
