Got some class Sasha sets from around 95 too... I agree with Al.... after that I haven't got much at all (except the Sasha in Ibiza mix set - BT Fibbonacia Sequence is the bolllox).

My interest/passion for Mr Coe & his music goes from:

    90-early/mid 92 - Classic years for me - best ever - Shelleys/Eclipse/Orbit/Hypnosis/Pandemonium raves

92/94 - The Renaissance/Venus years - some good sets & music/some shite imo..... still some vintage tunes - Qat mix of Judy Cheeks - So in love, Reese - Direct Me (3AM drop) etc etc

95/96 - The BT years !! Some wicked stuff - all seem to be BT related/mixed too lol ! Tripping the light fantastic/Loving you more/embrace the sunshine/BT mix of Billy Ray Martin - Running around town/Be as one& heart of the imagination - lolol & loads that I need ID'ing !

I got a class Up your Ronson set from Sasha in 95 if anyone wants copy...... wicked stuff

The only comment I'd make on his mixing is that it went back to back with no inventive stuff he was famous for....when was the last time u heard Sasha scratch ?? also as the tunes went to stoopid lengths you got the feeling that he didn't actually play much (although saying that the tunes developed loads within the 12 & 1 record contained loads of styles/flavours - did that make sense lol - tooooooo early !!)

    Al,

10 eclipse mixes! fooking hell chances are you've got this one then. but i'll attempt to descripe it anyway.

What tape is it? now theres a million dollar question. the original tape cover was one of the eclipse flyers which had the Dali elephants reflected as swans in the water so I guessing it was from the rave on that flyer. looked for a date but can't find one but deffo 91.

had a quick whiz through to pick out a few sections which i can id as my tune knowlege isn't that shit hot. i'll also chuck in a few m.c. lyrics which should lock it down a bit.

    side a)

'right here, right now. let me here you say yeah' dunno this
cartouch - feeel the groove (underground mix)
    c & c music - everybody dance now
    ultraviolet - kites
fpi project - everybody (all over the world)
    <tune with ice t hunted child sample>
pin up girls - take me away etc..

    side b)

frank du wulf b sides - the tape remix

    m.c. lyrics

    taking you there.. dj sasha
    whistle possie make some noise
    danny in the house
    respect due
    luuuvly...

    to the maximum

    to the maximum

followed by the infamous sasha scratching as mentioned earlier by someone which drops into spectrums brazil and some other hardcore stuff.

other m.c. lyrics. its this danny bloke again, must be seriously on one

big yo to danny on the stage
danny from oxford, giving it loads
    top man! top man!

hope this is of some use.

I too like the late 94-96 stuff!. I love the luscious journey the tracks take you on, especially (as you say) the Bt related stuff.....BT stuff is great in that era aswell- Infact, although for some unknown reason I feel ashamed, I baught the Loving You More 2x12" last weekend 2nd hand. Its an alltime fave.

The Okenfold/Osbourne mix just blows me clean away everytime, wicked tune and although I dont usually go for male vocals Vincent Covello is truelly astounding. Where did it all go wrong???

I still love the progressive house, but its much more 'tech funk' these days and more emphasised on beats and minimalist noises rather than lush soundscapes .

(Al) Did you go to Love Parade at Leeds a few years back, I think Sasha was on right upto the closing (was too far away to see!), bloody packed and theres me standing there trying to move in the rain .

    See ya

    Sirius.

Ps You dont know 'Filo' do you?. I sent for some gallery tapes from this massive list years and years ago from somewhere near Leeds and he had **hundreds** of old sasha tapes.......

Yeah i think that was it 'Dj Rave Tapes' lol. Sheesh, Small world isnt it!. Yeah, I baught about 7 Gallery tapes (Ste Luigi/Tim Utah etc - wheres he gone to?) and some old Zone ones etc.

You didnt sell the originals though did u?, I assumed they were all copies, albiet slightly illegal!.

Thanks for the offer, but I have tapes of general stuff Ive recorded off the radio etc coming out my earholes!. I seriously havent got room, but saying that, I was thinking of getting a big black bin bag and filling it for the binmen rather than sort them all out.
Downloadable Mp3s would be ace though . heheheh. Only joking, it would take you ages to rip all them tapes!!!.

    See ya
