Default 2 tracks from Luke Slater's 1991 Treasure Island mix

    Hi,

After 25 (!) years of looking, I've tracked down all but two songs from the Luke Slater set played at the'Treasure Island' weekender on the 17th & 18th August 1991 at the Golden Hill Fort on the Isle of Wight.

It has been a small obsession, so please - someone put me out of my misery!

    - - -

    Sample #1 (Appeared on Side A, 31.38 > 35.30)
    sample1-mikedunn-64.mp3

    Now ID'd by Kammie as:
Tanith - No More Music By The Suckers
    https://www.discogs.com/Tanith-What-...se/master/5275

    - - -

    Sample #2 (Appeared on Side A, 45.16 > 46.40)
    sample2-rapid_96.mp3

Not very easy to describe - begins with a rapid arpeggio and breaks into a spacey drum break before returning to the arpeggio

Any old skoolers who can help would make an old geezer very happy!

The 2nd one reminds me of the stuff from Spain from that time...

Mixture of Industrial/EBM, New Beat, Techno and House, that early Makina or 'Sonido De Valencia' sound.

Check labels like https://www.discogs.com/label/3406-Megabeat-Records and its subs

worth a look and listen, some proper cuts to be found

Thanks B, I'll aim my radar that way - it would explain why it has been so elusive!

Sadly, no traction there - been through the entire Megabeat catalogue and not a peep.

Ooohhh... thanks Kammie, had my pulse racing there for a minute.

Although it definitely has that Mike Dunn-ness about it, it's not the right tune.

Thanks JellyJam, but your list has a missing entry.

There is an additional track - the one I uploaded as 'sample- rapid' - located between Bleepmania (by USI) and Panic (by Underground Resistance, from the Riot EP).

It start getting mixed in at 45 mins on the YouTube video, and runs until 46:45: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULuelXzcyCo
