    Default 92-95ish Jungle tunes

Hi - I am a newby, but now I know of this site I will be back often to try and help out.

Can anyone help with these please? No worries if not, the descriptions are probably a bit poor!

    1. Tune played by Dr S Gachet on a Purex tape in about 94. Big bouncy bass, and the vocal 'somebody in the house say...chaaange yoouur styyyyle(time stretched). Any ideas?

D.J. Tonic* / L.V. Cleef* - Wannington Snow Man / Me Ah Bad Man 2. A tune fabio used to play in about 92. Ruff and hypnotic jungle beats with a sample that sounds like 'Boddington Snowman' repeated.

DJ Matt (2) & Mr. P (2) / Dextrous - Legend / Sunny Smiles 3. From about 94/95 and has the female vocal "People, make the world go round".

Formula 7 / Opium (5) - Madbones Vol. 4 4. I heard Doc Scott play (i think my tape says Dance Trance) in about 93/94 and has some high pitched synth lines/uplifting melodies, then a female vocal "Hey hey hey....Dance with me".

Conquering Lion - Banana Boat Man / Code Black (Remix) There was also a jungle remix of Junior Reid - Banana Boatman that I would love more info about - anyone know anything?

    Cheers

    Wow, thanks for that.

The 'People make the world go round', and Banana Boatman, I heard these on some studio mix tapes which I believe were done by Gappa G.

Is anyone else aware of these tapes (I remember my friend had a few of them)? I would love to get hold of them again as the tune selection and mixing are inspirational!

#4 may be Shaun Imrei - Dance With Me

Don't have vinyl handy to confirm.

Probably is that as I checked the Shaun Imrei and it's not the one.

    Hi
Thanks everyone. I'm absolutely astounded that these have been id'd based on those descriptions! You guys are great!

The banana boatman tune I have managed to find myself using a new internet utility called 'Google'.

Tune 1. is from a Dr S Gachet mix tape from Purex at The Sanctuary MK in 1995 - from an 8 pack. It is the 2nd or 3rd tune in, as I recall.

I've dug out the gachet tape from the loft!
I now realise the first three tunes are unknown to me, and as I am now on a vinyl buying mission perhaps you can ID all these please.

I've loaded some sound clips below. Gachet 03.mp3 is the one I was looking for mostly.

Another one is a tune I heard Fabio playing, possibly around 98/99 and is soulful and has a woman singing "shake it, i will shake it, and i will not fall down, i will shake it, right down to the very ground". It's too cold to go back in the loft so hopefully that description is obvious enough!

    Thanks again everyone!

PS the banana boatman I bought is CONGO NATTY 016 (re-press I think) which has 'unreleased dub plate mix' and 'original mix' on it which I think is what I was looking for ::must get round to plugging decks in after four years in boxes::
