Thread: gotta have house!

    Default gotta have house!

    Hi guys and girls,

dont have a clip of the track i need, but i'm pretty sure everyone is well aware of it. heard it on tons of mixtapes over the years but i just need the actual title and artist if poss.

its simply the one with 'gotta have house.....music' sampled a good few times.

i guess there's a few mixes of it, but i heard it on a maximes tape, flashback allnighter and it has a funky breakbeat bit in the middle and the good old uplifting piano running through it.

any ideas on name of track/artist and mix?

and are there any other good mixes i should be looking for?

    thanks a lot,

    chris.

Sounds like Marshall Jefferson - Move your body

MARSHALL JEFFERSON / JAMIE PRINCIPLE - MOVE YOUR BODY / BABY WANTS TO RIDE- AMERICAN IMPORT 12"

    Hope that helps.

hi, thanks for the reply, not this one though.

it has a pinao riff, not dissimilar to congress' anthem 40 miles in the background, a pumping piano track it is. starts with a little sample, 'rrrrrroll the beats'.

    thanks again though anyway

oh yeah, it also has a slightly echoy woman saying 'to the ryhthm, to the rhythm, oh, oh, oh, oh'

turns out klubbfiller did a mix of it fairly recently.

KLUBFILLER - GOTTA HAVE HOUSE- BRITISH PROMO 12"

this is the tune basically, but it's a mix from the mid 90's that I need.

    thanks.

all the above samples with a......

"won't you rock with me.... one time"..... followd by a "hear the drummer get wicked" break
