"try" : I know this voice, I'm sure I have a record from this singer but not this one...
Second one is World Premiere "Try" on Strictly Rhythm.

Not sure if this'll be any help but "jersey piano" sounds a lot like a John Robinson/Willie Wall type of mix (e.g. Spring - Stick Together is similar-ish).
