Ha, this is odd, I think my mate Alex and me made this mixtape! Where did you get it from? I'll see if I can ID some of these, I recognize all of them but they weren't all our records and my memory is a bit hazy...

9 is 'Ultra V - Pure'. Most probably the Instrumental or Dub mix. Ed
poor impulse - woah, that's funny!
I dont imagine many people got the tape, so you probably werent expecting to see it on here!? I recorded it from Alex's brother back in the day (I was in his year).
Most of us were more into the hardcore side of things, so the tape became quite legendary for sessions with the er, funky buddah.
Quite an eclectic mix of tracks on there - like the S.N.H. Foundation - Find A Way acapella mixed with Sven Vath's Barbarella (spaceship). That's either the result of just having random records, or genius.
I've got it on mediafire if you no longer have a copy?
Thanks for the Decadance id also.
presuminged, that is indeed it, nice one, thanks!

dodgymix - I've checked the mixes on the zyx release and it doesnt seem to be any of them. They have a different bassline. I've not checked this one though - The New Anthem (Budda Anthem (Alla)). It doesnt have the 'smoke it man' bit.
poor_impulse_control may of course know more

Ah right, you were in Adski's year. Some coincidence that I browsed this forum and caught this ID request!
I'd love to hear the tape again so please send over the mediafire link.
We didn't have that many records back then so we used mash anything together, the SNH Barbarella mix was one of mine:$
The funky bouda track wasn't on strictly rhythm if I remember correctly, it was some track that sampled the original a few months later. I think it was on Hubba hubba, Fresh Fruit or Tomato records, it's going to be tough to track down. I'd quite like a copy as it was a good use of the sample and not as cheesy as the strictly release.

Sure, will sort out a link to the tape...
I'll have a proper look through releases on those labels, thanks for the pointers. Thought I found the 'living flesh' track on one of them, but the promising title turned out to be something else. I'm wondering if the funky bouda remix is some random bootleg that'll probably not turn up?
