Help Identifying mid 70's Funk/Soul track

Hi all,

trying to track down a song I heard once on the radio circa 75/76? Possibly on the Greg Edwards show on Capitol - all I can remember is the story - was sung by a guy who had gone to a party at some house and one by one all the other guests disappeared and he was the only one left - the police turned up and arrested him for murdering all the other people - but there was a suggestion that there was someone else there. Its been doing my head in from time to time ever since. If anyone can help - I'd love to hear from you.
