Some acid trance from circa -93/-94, part 2

(Hopefully this subforum is more appropriate than where I posted part 1 :))

Anyway, as I said in my first thread, I have an old mix tape from -93 or -94 with 23 acid trance (kind of) tracks on it. I have now been able to identify 14 of the 23 tracks, and the majority are from 1993 (one track was released in 1991 on an EP, but re-released in 1993 on a full album).

To create some context, here's a list of the tracks I've been able to identify this far:

Hi,

I've found the A10 track on a mix set from 1993 by Frank de Wulf at The Ark. It consists of 2 mp3 files where "side 1" is 44:38 long and "side 2" is 37:46 long. The A10 track is starting at ca 1:30 on "side 2".

Now, does anyone know of a track listing for this set? I've googled like mad, but found nothing.

I have gotten a confirmation that Track 07 is "Welcome to the Underground (Mix 2)" by DJ X, Welcome to the Underground EP. Yay! :)

Could A10 be a different mix of plank - acid war ?

Ah, _that's_ the track I've been thinking about when I've listened to A10! I've been thinking that it really reminds me of something I've heard before...

Actually, I have already made the connection to Acrid Abeyance/Plank/Ascorbin Acid, since the style is similar (didn't think of Acid Wars though), and some month ago I did (tried to at least) an intense net search on those. The search was fruitless though, it's not easy to find tracks or music samples, even though I could rule out some of their tracks.

number 10 is definitely plank - acid war. there are two (very similar) versions though, not sure which one.

and b1 is by circuit breaker on probe - think it's trac x

I've found two versions of Acid Wars on lavabeat.net, on the Acid Wars and Attitude EPs, and A10 is neither of them.

I have found Circuit Breaker's "Trac-X" (on youtube, actually), but it's not that one. The sound is similar though, so I'm trying to find Trac-Y and Trac-Z (the B-side) as well.

I've listened to all three tracks on the Trac-X EP by Circuit Breaker now, and neither of them seem to be B01 :( Oh well, the sound is similar so B01 could very well be made by some Richie Hawtin alias.

there is also a single-sided circuit breaker rarity called 'trak k' which might be worth trying. i've definitely heard the sample before..............good luck!

Yes, I've actually listened to Trac-K as well, found it on The Mayday Compilation Vol. 2. Not that one either... Thanks anyway :)

seem to remember a release on see-saw records...ram rod i think...this sound very familiar from what i remember from the see-saw release..will check later...

No its tagged right as ive double checked and it aint the one...ive checked ALL the probe releases too just in case and it isnt any of them either so they can be ruled out at least...ive checked on a couple of others to no avail though so im a bit stumped now....:confused:

Sorry for the slow response - the notification email seems to have gotten lost somewhere.

I've continued searching for the unidentified tracks here, and today I actually found one more. The B01 track is "R8-808" by Disintegrator (Machines). So one step forward :)

But also one step backwards... The A02 id in my first thread seems to be wrong, so I readded it in this thread.

OMG! I found the A02 track! It is Universe by Headshop, from the 4 Sale! EP. Damn, I've been waiting for this, it is one of my clear favorites on the tape :)

Wow, that's amazing - ten years and still getting hits :) Thanks a lot for the ID! Actually, I got all tracks id'd maybe a year ago or so, but I forgot to update this thread - and I was certain it was dead :) I'll try and update the tracks now.

seems more like acid hardcore techno rather than trance to me. anyway, fancy sharing the tape in question?
