melody from reese - rock to the beat

there's a small 6 beat melody used inside reese - rock to the beat (hitman wilson remix) -- it was used in another tune, but more on its own in a melodic drop or break --- im trying to find that tune.

i know the tune, and im sure i got it, but cant think for the life of me -- im sure someone will know it.

i've killed the bass and high on the upload to try to concentrate on the melody im after.

as its only 6 beats, i repeated it a few times to give a longer stint. each repeat is 1 bar, its the melody bit which covers the first 6 beats of each repeated bar.

hope all that makes sense and someone can help.

thanks for the input retro -- but thats not the sample/melody im after. im after a tune which used it later...maybe 1990/91.

A2 on this has a sample of rock to the beat (the de de de,de de de part if that makes sense) and has a sample vocal 'bass how low can you go' not sure if its the one your after.

nah m8, tbh -- im not hearing the sample anywhere in there!

gauntlet is a nice tune thou, simple construction but very effective -- its in my bag - quite a nice 4-tracker imo.
