Unfortunately I do not have the music to accompany my request - apologies. However, I will try my best to describe it.

It starts with a relatively harsh bass-line, plus a metallic snare and echoing claps. The track is peppered with the movie sample: Thank God it's Friday! (Spoken by Tom Hanks from the film Dragnet, 1987)

Additional info:
- The track, I'd imagine, would have been produced between 1990 - 93.
- Another line of dialogue (male): A child in cuckooland is uttered twice.
- The final piece of dialogue is difficult to decipher as a vocoder is used, however I could hear the word hardcore within the sentence.

A big thanks in advance.

Hello esther1982. Thank you for your input.

I did consider Timecode - Thank God It's Friday before I made my post. But upon listening to the version available on YouTube I noted the only similarity was the Thank God it's Friday sample. That said, I also note there are 4 mixes on the Timecode vinyl displayed on Discogs. Maybe the version I heard is one of those? It's just a pity none of those mixes are available to listen to. Frustrating to say the least.

The track/mix I heard didn't sound as "busy" or as "industrial" as the version suggested above. It contained only a 4-beat, hats, claps, snares and bass-line (no melody or blips and beeps) - all accompanied by the words I added in my original post. Deceptively simple, but very enjoyable.

The only other thing I can add is the sample was played around with in the track, for example: Thank-Thank-Thank-Thank-Thank... Thank God it's Friday! and Thank God-Thank God-Thank God... Thank God it's Friday!

Once again, all input will be appreciated.

That's incredibly helpful of you BzERK. If you do so please bump this thread whenever you get the chance to upload them. But if you feel the mixes stay true to the original I'll take your word for it. Nevertheless, thank you for your assistance.

Just to add, I had a quick word with my mate who owned the cassette tape that included the mystery track. He still possesses it after all these years! It's a shame we don't have the technology to upload a sample or whole track. Bugger!

I'm sad to report - after you took the time to upload these mixes - that none of them are the version I heard. It must be said that your work has not gone unappreciated, BzERK - so thank you.

I feel the onus is on myself in getting this track uploaded to the site. I shall get a recording of my friend's cassette tape and will link it within this thread as soon as possible.

In the meantime thanks for all the input.

Nice one, mate. Been looking for this tune since I first heard it on a tape back in '98. I'm very glad my description was enough for you to know what I was bangin' on about.

I'm a sub to the uploader of the tune too: Javier Baiget. So the track was always close by. Typical.
