Hi all. i am new to the site. i love the look of this site and hope to get some help.

i have been looking for the sample of an augmented amen break (probably a hip hop record) that Ellis Dee used to make his track - desire.

please listen to the sample and let me know if you can help. many thanks in advance!

Sounds like the classic amen break spliced up in a sampler and triggered in a tracker.
You could easily achieve the same results with a REX file in Reason.
Not sure about Logic or Cubase though.

The original Amen comes from:

Hi groovesection , thanks for your reply. i appreciate your help here.

i do have the original amen break and many versions of it retrig'd with 909's, 808's etc etc. i have even tried making it myself (the sample in question) but it lacks that original vibe, if you know what i mean. ive been through all the likely sources like heavy d, schooly d, nwa, 3rd bass, salt n pepa etc, to no avail. i remember the break being on a cd in 1992 with loads of other amen augmentations and classic (not at the time tho) breaks. cant remember the name now, grrr. it was along the lines of "take a break" or james hyman & wishdokta's break beats. if i had that time machine to hand, id be rich.
