I was wondering if anyone can help me id a funky house tune that samples Peter Gabriel's sledgehammer song.
Its a remix that i heard ages ago on the Hed Kandi Jazz Fm show when they used to broadcast in the early hours (before it became commercial) It was way more uplifting and polished than the other remixes floating around on the net. From memory it only sampled the lyrics " I wanna be, your sledghammer, why don't you call out my name, sledgehammer", and had the guitars and a funky bassline (similar to the illicit vocal mix but more uplifting)
I had it recorded on cassette which is now long gone, so i cant supply a sample unfortunately, and i remember the presenter saying it was unofficial and wont be released.
If anyone has any ideas what it might be, i'd be all ears.
