Unknown System 7 track from Alex Patterson's Mixmag Live (1993/1996)

I'm looking for an ID to this track (http://testtone.net/tracks/System_7_Not_Strange_Quotations.mp3). I'm pretty sure it's by System 7, there's some very Hillage-sounding guitars in there. It is from the Alex Patterson mix on Mixmag Live! vol. 9 (http://www.discogs.com/Orbs-Dr-Alex-Paterson-The-Mixmaster-Morris-Mixmag-Live-Vol-9/release/209295), which is identical (as far as I know) to the cassette version from '93. (http://www.discogs.com/Various-Mixmag-Live-Vol-9-Dr-Alex-Paterson-Mixmaster-Morris/release/218633) Alex opens his mix with Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries and then moves into the track in question. I have the first two System 7 albums, both in UK pressings. The track in question is not on either of them. I did note there is a very rare promo single (http://www.discogs.com/System-7-Strange-Quotations/release/249688) of Strange Quotations with different mixes on it. Given how different this unknown tracks sounds to the original version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYFNDAQ2c6E), I have my doubts that it's a remix.

Anyone have an idea what the name of this track is? Is it in fact by System 7?

Dan I had a look around and I see it on Soulseek appearing as an Orb remix...

But looking at yer clip's duration I'd say ur right and must it be that promo and then the Trash remix..

Wow, it's not on that promo 12"? That's both helpful and unfortunate. Helpful in that it keeps me from spending 18EUR + shipping from France. Unfortunate in that this mix (which is killer, and much better than the original) is still unknown.

Yeah, I was disappointed and a bit surprised to find it wasn't on that promo. I only paid a few quid for it though...
I have a feeling this is an unreleased Orb or Alex Patterson mix.

Well, I'm glad you own that rare promo and can confirm the mix in question is not on it. I was poised to pay 18EUR + shipping from France to the US to procure a copy of it. That would have been a bit of a disaster.

Unfortunately Alex Patterson is infamous for not answering questions from his fans, especially about sample sources, rare mixes, etc. This might be one that is never resolved, but hope springs eternal.
