Its Leftfield - Not Forgotten.

ps - I'm desperately trying to complete a tracklist of Digs & Woosh's Castlemorton set. Would be great if you could take a listen and help fill in any blanks. Check it out here: http://www.tuneid.com/old-skool-classics-1987-1993/49038-diy-digs-woosh-1992-castlemorton-track-id.html Thanks.

I have been searching for sample 4 forever. The only lead I have is that the sample is from Mala - New Life Baby Paris.

Can't find anything further. Anyone else?

Tune needs to be ID'd..

hey la3y, just out of interest do you have a digi copy of the Iain Smith (lazyhouse) tape with Trancesetters - An Ambient Ecstasy on it ?
that's a wicked mix and loads of tunes worth id'ing on it.

not digital...one of the best mixes I've got!!! I know/have quite a few of those tunes so might be able to help?

I want to put all my tapes to mp3...but to be honest I don't know exactly what is the best way to do it? any guidance?...

Hi. I've recently bought and ION Tape Express. It is not the most hi tech, but it does the job. They're between £30 & £40 quid.

Alternatively, get yourself an audio in jack - about £7 or £8 - download Audacity for free and Bobs' yer mums brother.. You have to play the tapes through to record onto your PC which is a bit of a lick, but once it is on you can tweek the quality and export as an mp3.

Well the track I'm really after off that mix has only a snippit of vocal saying " Timba timba" followed by a kinda timbale drum solo with with scratching kinda following the solo.
i still see Smithy about quite a bit actually - buggered if he can remember that id though !! Any ideas ?

I know the tune you mean...though I'm stumped. :(

Hopefully soon I will copy that tape to digital and I will surely start a thread here!

"timba timba" track could be "Tumbe" by Tito Valdez ?

thanks for the suggestion but it's not that tune unfortunately. Just to provide a bit more information it's a pretty techy sounding track from about 1991/1992. The scratchin kinda replicates the timbale drumming in a question and answer kind of way gradually building up . The base underneath sounds pretty similar to tribal spirit - rave off. Really hard to describe so if any of you guys ever get around to digitizing this mix let me know !

Hi Guys

Can anyone id the track at 09:00 on this lazyhouse mix. It's the one with the timbale/scratching thing going on. But what is it?
