Possibly on one of these 12"`s.

This Icon has to be the live PA from Fantazia, The labels and alliases would suggest its them.

Bit of a mystery this one, I was thinking it might be from this? Icon (6) - Lost In The Darkness (12") at Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Icon-Lost-In-The-Darkness/release/247243)

This my one and only 91/92 want, if you manage to get it confirmed my life would be complete, its the very first tune on the mammoth Fantazia Summertime DAT.

I can tell you a shit loada tunes it isn't including anything to do with - Hyper Go Go - High at Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Hyper-Go-Go-High/master/12020)

and - Kickin Kru - Touch The Sky (12") at Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Kickin-Kru-Touch-The-Sky/release/351194)

First time I've come across one of our old tunes online, cheers for the post, you've made my night. The set we played that night was never released and we only did one more gig after that one. We got asked to do Summertime after doing a run of PAs at the Brunel Rooms and Summertime was by far the biggest gig we ever did. I'm sure I've got the DAT from that night kicking about somewhere.

Welcome to the forum then mate.... been an elusive tune for many people over many years that one, does it have a name? Ever thought about releasing that DAT as I'm sure there'd be a fair amount of interest?

Also, was Bay B Kane anything to do with the PA at Summertime & who else was in the group? Good memories of your set, was just coming up on some Rhubarbs when you started playing lol...

Long time ago now mind but forgive all the questions, it's always interesting when a producer of the music back in the day turns up.... :spin:

We never really named anything, the idea was that our live sets would almost morph into a dj set, so rather than a 5 -6 minute tune it was like a mashed up set. We took a lot of influence from N'Joi in that respect.

No idea about Bay B Kane though.

There was just a couple of us with a full rack of synths, samplers and drum machines, myself I'm orginally from the NE, and Steve who was from Gloucestershire, we played a lot of clubs and events round the country from 91-92 then went our separate ways.

I'll see if I can find the DAT and get it uploaded. It's mad to think that anyone could remember it from that far back, cheers though, proper nostalgia!

Interesting stuff & cheers for the reply. The Bay B Kane reference was due to one of his aliases in '92 being Icon so most people (me included) presumed he was behind this PA at Fantazia due to this later release on Ruff Guidance.

Always nice to clear these mysteries up after 19 years. Interestingly enough Ron Wells of Basement records fame turned up on another forum B2VOS a few weeks ago so the old skool vibe must be in the air still lol....

If you get round to ripping that set, I & many others would be eternally grateful. The only part released was that couple of minutes at the end of your set which was at the beginning of the DAT release from Fantazia.
