In Sample 13, I'm pretty sure I can hear Aphex Twin - Didgeridoo.

Do you think it's part of the tune, or is it perhaps mixed in?

hmm .. no, it isn't mixed with another track. i know what you mean, it reminds me also of aphex twin, just that sound in the background, but it is'nt the same style, .
