Can anyone ID this track for me please.

It's from a Top Buzz tape from 91. It's got loads of classic samples in it, including that odd dog bark thing.

Thanks again Meltdown!

Are they paying you for this? they should be;)

I'm in the process of digitalizing (sp) all my old tapes before they completely rot away, so i'll probably be posting up more Id's as & when.

If anyone would like any of the mixes i'd be happy to share as a sort of thankyou for the lightning fast Id's.

As all these tapes are from when I was about 14 they all have vague names like 'grooverider 14' 'Carl Cox 6' etc.

The Top Buzz one is 'Top Buzz - Newage'

Thanks again.

There are still 5 tracks not identified on this thread. This mix is a classic and they are really bugging me - one of you evil geniuses out there must know what they are.

To simplify matters I've added the missing 5 as individual mp3s.

Go on you know you want to!

Cheers.

This is one of my all time favourite mixes. When released on cassette in 1991 it was "Top Buzz 5 Live at the Eclipse". I think it is also referred to as New Age 1991 as MC Patrick says "make some noise new age" at the start. A complete tracklisting includes some tracks after the 90min cassette gives up can be found here: Top Buzz - New Age - 1991 (http://www.discogs.com/lists/Top-Buzz-New-Age-1991/104) - Anyone have a copy of the entire mix? :)

Hey Cerebral,

One of my all time favourite mixes too. I used to know it as "Top Buzz 5" as well. The link you got has the tunes in the wrong order. Those that are listed after 28 Gun Bad Boy are actually all earlier in the mix. For example, The "Nitrous" track listed is "identify" and occurs between tracks 12 and 13 on the list. Here's a link to a pretty good quality rip that's 92 minutes long, which I'm fairly confident is the whole shebang.

The Eclipse 1991 (Top Buzz 5) - 01 - Top Buzz - Live @ New Age.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wv9p7619uxl41ly)

On a similar note, I had another top buzz mix that was labelled as "top buzz 7" - can't remember anything else about it as it was lost in the mists of time. Don't suppose you remember anything about it, as I wouldn't mind rediscovering it. It was nowhere near as good as "Top Buzz 5", but it was still a pretty solid mix, if memory serves (which it probably doesn't). :p
