can anyone tell me if the label on early chicago trax releases were black or have they always been red? i've seen mostly red but have also seen some black.

also, did all the early releases come with the trax chicago skyline image sleeve or were they just generic black US shrink wrapped sleeves?

The first releases were black I think, subsequent releases red

Ask on www.discogs.com someone will know for sure

Just be sure to check the lower ring of the label, if it says CAPS EXPORT it's a repress, don't pay a lot for those ;)


Ask Adonis or Chip E or one of the other old guys who recorded for TRAX, they will know for sure :thumbsup:
