dudes, i used to have a tape that was either the bacardi beat dance chart or the beat street top 10 in about summer '91. i guess it was on sunset 102 (friday nights?) and think it had some connection with beat street records in bolton.
anyway, there was a tune on there that sampled 'joy and joyce - baby baby'. it nicked the 'cold' vocal from 'cold chill down my spine' bit. sort of 'cold, cold, co..cold' etc. there was a soft synth ending/outro. it wasn't techo or piano but somewhere in between.
the tape it was on had 'the end - you drive me' in the top ten aswell.
also on this tape was some american blokes recorded voice telling the odd joke. one of the punchlines was throwing a fag overboard 'to make the boat a cigarette lighter'.
does anyone know the tune? does anyone know WTF i'm banging on about?
