I have a feeling the piano tune near the end might by MCP feat sheila abdul-Over me from 1990, but obviously I'm not 100%. Ed:)

Thanks alot for that Pluto! Much appreciated. I can send you the other half of the mix if you like. I know it's not great quality, but maybe it can be cleaned with some software (does any exist-I'm not that up on audio restoration!!!). Cheers Ed:D

Great mixes.
Can you tell me how I can mp3 my old tapes.
I think I'll do the same and make them available to all.

Hiya Chris! To be honest I'm no expert. all I did with this was run my tape deck through my mixer to re-eq the tape to minidisc, and then transferred the md to CD on a standalone recorder. I converted the CD to mp3 using itunes (which you can download for free). Other members have told me that you can remove some of the hiss using audio manipulation software. Ed:)

you can lead from your tapedeck headphone socket into your soundcard line in & record straight to your hardrive in mp3 format

i use music match jukebox program for doing this , you can download is for free from download.com

there are loads of programs you can use but i find this one the easiest to get my head around:thumbsup:

just set the record source to line in on your soundcard and select what quality you want your mp3 file to be recorded in.
