Does anyone know of any other tunes that have used the whistle that features so predominatly thoughout elephant paw ?

No it's not that mate. As far as I'm aware it's older than elephant paw.

It is from something earlier than DJ Delite, but I temporarily cannot think what it is. :$

Theres another tune from 89 I think that has the whistle sample, probably what DJ Delite ripped it from, but for the life of me I cant remember what it is:confused:

Yeah i am from Carlisle mate.
It's definatly not Out Of Order pal. Used to have that and its a banging Zone carry on. The tune in question sounds older than DJ D Lite.
