A couple of 1991/92 tunes
Does anybody remember a hardcoreish tune starting with a woman repeating
- 'here comes the DJ he's playing my song' followed by possibly 'I need release'.

Also a tune with the lyric
'I just don't understand...you got your space I don't make demands'
'All the time you're away from me...I just still need for you to touch me'
'Whooooaaa touch me (repeat)'

Slightly off topic, but I have hundreds of tapes with tunes on that I want to know the names of but I've no idea how to get them on to the computer/net. What sort of hardware do I need?

Cheers for those Cano.

Just found a sample of Rhythm Of Life - Touch Me on htfr and it sounds like it's definately a version of that tune. The song I've got is a lot more hardcore though. It may just be a different mix.

You'll need a sound card which has some sort of plug to hook up your tape deck/stereo to the computer. The recording software usually comes with the card. If you don't want to open up your computer get an external sound card. I use a notebook, so I bought
this (http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=244&subcategory=249&product=154).

cheers :D

One more hint.

If your computer isn't too old, chances are you already have a sound card built in that has recording capability. See if you can find a plug somewhere.
For tune ids even a poor mono plug for a microphone is enough, I'd say. If you have a plug all you need is a cable to connect your stereo. There's probably some free or shareware programm on the web that allows you to record in MP3.

The software recorder that comes with Windows can only record in WAV, I think. These kind of files are too large for tune ids. :naughty: You would have to convert them to MP3.

Cheers guys:thumbsup:

I can't find a clip of S Moore - Touch Me but listening to some of their other tunes it seems likely that it's the tune I'm after.

Cheers for the hardware tips. My PC is less than a year old and has a sound card so it looks like I may just need the correct cable.

Try using Audacity for your recording needs.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Its free ( :) ) and easy to use.

Follow the instructions in the Help section on the site.
