Famous 'Party People' sample, loads of versions of this, think its Problem House or Manic,..........n e way I keep buying the wrong versions of this.

I want the 2 distinctly different piano versions of this, not the zone pianoless versions.

One has a rapid up and down piano over wicked breakbeat with party peolpe lyrics in between the piano's, other has a softer 5 chord piano sequence, with the party people lyrics over top.

Go on suprise me

It's the "Trix Mix" you're after mate ;)

The original release (I think) was on a Belgian techno EP called "Problem House Vol 2" (Hithouse Records) Cat# HIT 6.011

It was later remixed and both the "Trix Mix" and the "Manic Mix" appeared on a white label type thing (there's bugger all info, but for what it's worth the etching on the vinyl is "ST 001")

All 3 mixes are distinctly different, but the "Trix Mix" is the only one with a piano break. I've only got the white label of the remixes, so it's possible that the catalogue number whatya's referring to is the formal release of the "Trix Mix" ??

Can let ya listen to all 3 if it would help mate :D :D

S'alright VinylAnimal, Gaz has got that white label, but thanx for the info on the mix names.

I was jus wonderin if this ever got a proper release, or if it was just promo'd.

N.E. way there is also another mix of this with Piano on, thats not on the white label, does anyone know whether the original Prob House release had Piano in it, or whether it was yet another release I'm on about ??

I seem to remember the white label release didn't have the Party People lyrics, over the top of the piano, they were in between the piano breaks, where as this other version Ive heard, has a more mellow piano, with the Party People lyric actually over the top of the piano.

Cheers for all t help so Far,....

Righty-ho compadres:mexican:,

Dunno if its any help, but I've got Manic versions(original and loads of remixes from a few years ago) and that DJ trix version too. Are you sure its not one of these 96 (?) remixes on Slack records?...
Failing that, I also have a bootleg with a 'PartyPoeple Remix' on which came out about 94 ish and was cained to death at the time....its quite fast, but not hardcore though. Its got "miss whiplash" swishing type noises on.....is that it?. My copies absolutely fooked at the beginning with an almighty plough through the grooves so deep the plastics gone white!!. Dunno how it happened, but was well pissed off.

See ya,

Sirius.

Yeah, I got the pink vinyl - but theres the (MANIC) re-release mixes which came out a few years ago on Slack records.....cant remember all the mixes....probably pianoman and crowdpleasers or something. Do you have that? It was possibly only released on promo like mine, might have been '96 - I cant find it yet.
You know the whiplash version too then?? Booty whitelabel hammered by StuAllan, Rick Jones (?) etc....

The Search Is Over!

Ive found her. Shes a cute little number, wearing a pretty Orange label.

Finally, its M.A.N.I.C. Party People.Slack Promo. SLACK7. Orange Label.

A1.MANICS Pumpin Club Mix
A2.MANICS Club Dub Mix

AA1.PIANOMANS Now Lets Not Fuck About Mix
AA2.MANICS Original Mix.

The mix I was on about was the Pianoman:p mix. Samples original, but with 2 incredible instrumental Piano breaks, and a top chunky breakbeat over em.

Sounded wicked on a Maximes tape with some guy MCing over it.

The search is over, and I am happy,....for today.
