Hi

I have a bootleg white label from 1990 it has 3 tunes and I need to know the name of one of them.

Side 1 - Richie Havens - Going back to my roots
Side 2 - Mark Summers - Melt ya Body
Side 2 - Unknown (sounds like some ital piano tune)

LOL - no it is not a wind up

I know it is worth a few quid (so someone told me when I played it on PirateRevival) but I don't know what it is called. It was in a box of 100 records i picked up for £100 last year along with tunes like Mr & Mrs Dale - Its you and Ultravoilets - Kites etc - Bargain me thinks :P

Honest not a wind up just want to know the name :'(

That sounds right, I have a scap bit of paper with that tune written on and this must have been from when Oldskooldazed was telling me I played it on PirateRevival. :S

Thanks for that - I'll write it on another scrap piece of paper and probably be back again in a few months time getting it id'd again. doh!!

i always thought this tune was LAN

its advertised on anthems.com as LAN -- (heres a quote)

LOCAL AREA NETWORK - GET INTO MY LIFE

An underground hit with such a catchy "nah, nah maah nah etc...." sample - and despite the strange "Dragnet" sample...it rocks baby !!

taken from this webpage-- http://www.anthems.com/houseclassics.php

does the vocal version of Q words have the vocal "dragnet"

I believe Q Words came out first and then LAN stole the chorus.

I am sure i will be corrected if wrong :)

The piano chords are totally diffo to each other between LAN & Q Words, the only similarities the 2 have are that they both use the same 'na na' vocal sample!!

thanks for your responses to this tune.

After a few private messages from peeps and the fact I do not play this tune much I have decided to sell it - go to the vinyl for sale section if you are intersted.

Thanks

I feel tempted to sell mine as well. Qwords doesn't do much for me really (didn't even know Qwords was on the vinyl!).

Although it's my only copy of richie havens...

Feel free to PM me any offers. Vinyl is in very good condition.

BTW this aint the booty that fetches the money, its the... 'Alpha DY/Q Words/Zhana/Irene Ortiz' booty. Each track on the Alpha DY booty is darn rare n can fetch big money in its orig' format, except 'Irene Ortiz'. Irene Ortiz its pretty rare, but doesnt go for big money!! :)
