Theres a tune from 96/7 with this sample on as well, it also goes
'treat the bass, treat the bass, treat the bass like I've only just buried it.............'

also has the line

'poetry in house is gettin raw
and Isupport it
kinda like a bra would'

I swear I am not making this up lol.

Its more of a breakbeat feel to it - anyone know what that is?

Or where the sample comes from?

Its proper bo...

The samples off a Doug Lazy track from about 1990 if thats any help.......I think its the 'let the rhythm pump' and not 'let it roll'.

Sirius.

Your after Fat Boy Slim - Ya Mama (Push The Tempo) on Skint Records...

You can either get it on the 2x12 Album "Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars" (BRASSIC 20LP) or on its own 12 titled "Ya Mama / Song For Shelter" (SKINT 71). There's a two track promo release and a three track official release which has a Chemical Brothers remix of "Song for Shelter".

Don't know if ya have seen the video but its top banana... I've stuck a copy on it onto my webserver:

Fatboy Slim - Ya Mama (http://www.btinternet.com/~fugjostle/yamama.mov) [12.9 Mb]

There's loadsa copies of the tune on CD and 12 on gemm. Do a title search for Ya Mama ;)

Yeah Sirius bang on, the legendary Doug Lazy, you what if anyone else rapped them lyrics it would be shite but lazy's style gets away with it. I'd love to get him MC'ing at an OS night superb.

Move your shoulders shake that neck Huh!
