i few years ago my mate lent me a dave pearce anthems cd (crap:| )

on it had a mix of

jimi polo better days mixed with congress 40 miles

the tune itself was exactly the same as congress
but had the jimi polo better days vocal

i know dave pearce used to A&R for polydor/urban records in 1989
so i might be just a special mix he did
because he had access to the accapella

does anybody know if it got pressed up on vinyl?

shame its "mixed" or i would press it myself

Are you not on about the Sasha mix of... Jimi Polo - Better Days, which was heavily bootied from the 'DMC DJ Press only'

nope definitely NOT the sasha remix

its EXACTLY the same as the instrumental 40 miles with the jimi polo vocal from the urban 1989 release of better days

its like someone got the jimi polo accapella and mixed over the top of 40 miles

nothing like the sasha mix at all

and its not the jimi's tears one sided thing either

Let's be right - it's complete pants, unlike the Sasha DMC mix, which is actually the best tune ever made.

Here's the original, anyway.

BTW, I've always assumed Congress copied this piano for 40 miles, 'cos the chords are exactly the same. Someone else used it for that "girls who like boys" thing as well.
