Default One tune from late 80's...
...or 1990 at the latest I think. Only ever heard it on a pirate radio station in the North East called Wear FM. They were notorious for never giving the names of tunes out but on the tape I have of this the DJ refers to it as Anonymous Drum Machine.
I've searched all over under that name but can't find anything, if anyone could help I'd be really grateful.
This is my first post so sorry if I've done it wrong!

...just downloaded BFC - Galaxy, see what you mean it has a very similar feel to it but I don't think it's the same tune. It's still a really mellow tune though and a new one on me so thanks very much

Bit of a novice I'm afraid - never heard of Dan Curtin but I'll look him up, thanks for the tip - don't suppose you have an idea what the tune is called do you?
