Default Another long shot

Just to warn you, i'm after an old favourite and all i got to go on are 14-15 year old memories...

The tape it was from around '92, and i think might have been Carl Cox & Jumpin' Jack Frost... but could be wrong. One other tune definitely on the tape was Noise Engineer - Lets Go from '91. Mostly hardcore / techno tracks from back in the day.

The only thing about the track i'm after that stands out is a rising and falling riff. I've posted another track with a similar sound just to give the idea - its the rising and falling riff in the background that i'm talking about. I'm sure in the tune i'm after that the rising and falling was longer, more drawn out. And it was a more upbeat track if i remember correctly. A kind of techno / progressive crossover i think. Not even sure which forum to post this in And this rising and falling riff is throughout the tune. Not just a small part.

So there's my expert description. Any takers will have me everlasting thanks

Shamus cheers muchly for those guesses , but unfortunately it was neither. You got particularly onto the right vibe with Traffic, but that was only for smaller portions of the tune, whereas in the one i'm looking for its pretty much continuous throughout the track. But thanks again.
