Default deep to detroitish 1991

Please help me id these lovely tunes.

All played by Andrea Gemolotto at the Coccorico in Rimini 1991 maybe early 1992.

1 Love Generation: I Love NY Ep (Lafayette) - thanks to Bunkerheads
2 Logic: One Step Beyond (Raw Mix) (Strictly Rhythm) - lucky, just stumbled on that one myself by accident
3 Santonio: Images (Express Records) - thanks to redhECtiC on Discogs
4 Total Capacity: Celebrate (Strictly Rhythm) - thanks to dau on Discogs
5 ?? naughty phone conversation tune ?? maybe related to Murk, Intrique Records, artist named Tai-Chi or similar sounding

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The person who gets number 1 will have a lifetime spot in my evening prayers.
It's my most wanted id and has been haunting me for 14 years.
Thought I had lost that tape, but I finally managed to recover it.

fingers crossed,
bpm

Thanks Konspiracy, much appreciated.

Never heard of Oversky, I think. Have a few MBGs myself though.

1st one was bugging me massively as I knew I had it on a set somewhere... so I've been searching through my HD for about the last hour & found it... I think it's a Dub version of a mix (dunno which mix tho) of SK Project 'Your Love Is Taking Me Over' (see attached).

Thanks the Italian mix archive links you put up a while back btw... some good stuff on there, I've d\l a few. Shame the main one is so slow.. looks like an ftp on someones home pc with dial-up connection or summat. Seems to be down so far this week aswell.

The 5th unknown is familiar too... but i think that may just be from one of the italian sets I d\l recently.

This sure sounds like it. Think the search might finally be over.
The Italian mix site seems to have switched to a "memembers only" policy. You have to e-mail them to get access it seems. I guess he had too many leechers. Hope it's not because of my post here.

Managed to download quite a few mixes before the change. (Appearently not the one with the SK Project.) So I could send you some in return for this fantastic id.

Will contact the site because they're probably interrested in that Gemolotto tape I have.

For Konspiracy:
These are the MBG releases you can rule out, either because I have them or know them.

Optik - Music Harmony And Rhythm
Gio Canepa - MBG EP One
Deep Choice - Brainstorm
Alkemy - The Trap
MBG & Rame (2) & Alkemy & DJ Uovo - Peter Pan EP
Deep Choice - EP Two
Optik - The Chance
New Latin Age - Long Wave
Alkemy - Get Into The Music

cheers,
bpm

Ive got that Simonelli track, Love Is Taking Me Over, its on Maxi I think

It doesnt sound like the dub mix to me, it has more of a dubby bassy sparse feel to it, and I think the only other track (apart from the vocal) on the 12 is the accapella

I'll have a root later (unless I forget)

Turns out I also have a version of SK Project - Your Love Is Taking Me Over.
It's the Deep Mix on this release: http://e.discogs.com/release/412632
Only other mix of that title on that record is indeed the Deepappella mix.

So perhaps this is the one you're thinking about Konspiracy.

There is another Maxi release though with that title.
http://e.discogs.com/release/251901
It seems to have another vocal and dub mix.
Chances are it's the dub on this.
Appreciate you checking anyway Konspiracy.

Too bad.

You're right Konspiracy. Just found an online rip of SK Project: Your love is taking me over. And that's not it. It's on that Reve Maxx site from shamanixx.

Thanks alot anyway for your an Noel's help so far.

Still hoping,

i_wanna_do_you_91.mp3 = It sounds like early Ralph Falcon stuff, or it may be something by Toyin Agbetu on Intrique Records, got the ingredients of the tunes they put out round that time . .

Shame.. I've got about 5% left to d\l of a class Alex C.Cosmik - insomniacs from '87. I've had a few from there (& loads from the Montanari forum) that i've gotta go through first.. maybe i'll email them once I've been through those.
