Thread: 2 ID's

  1. #1

Default 1992 Track ID's "Mutherfucker" and "Everyday."

Both of these are from 1992

    1. I call this the "MUTHERFUCKER" song.
Probably around 140-150 Bpm's. Has a crazy analouge/techno noise and says "mutherfucker! Dance!" Sounds like it could be a belgium tune? Lot's of 4/4. I used to hear it alot, could never get it ID'd. I thought it was a force mass motion tune, then I thought it was something by Intellect, even Skin Up, but it's not any of these. It is NOT Ruff Rider. This song is more 4/4 based, more techno. It was on a Vitamin D (US) type I heard from around 91/92.

    2. I call this the "Everyday" tune.
Probably around 140 BPM's. Has a sample of a guy that says "let's take a trip" and it breaks into a piano with a female vocal says "everyday!" ah ah ahahaha everday! This song sound like it is a UK breaks track. THe piano has a delay on it and it goes into an organ type of tune.

Ive only heard 2 DJ's play song number 2, both were local to my area.

Could the first one be this:

Interactive - Dance Motherfucker (Fast Raver Mix) (Deejay Promotional Copy) (Vinyl) at Discogs ??

Although it says Dance Motherfucker, rather than Motherfucker Dance...

    That's not it. It's faster.

It's the same "Mutherfucker! Dance!" sample that was in Ruff Riders "Dance Mutha" tune.

At one part the anmalouge noise pitches up and down and goes all crazy. lol. Bad description.

Isn't the sample in that tune actually the MC5 "kick out the jams motherfucker" as so famously sampled by KLF in What Time Is Love? It always sounds a lot like "dance motherfucker" though...

No its faster and has a clangy breakbeat. Id say mid/late 1992 very early 1993 maybe.

Power Metric was one of my unknowns from many many years ago.
Just a tip when seeking ID's, if you know the exact lyrics it helps to post them correctly e.g. "lets try to sort the real from the trip" and "ah ah ah I feel it".
I could have ID'd this one sooner for you as I'm very familiar with this tune and the samples.
Power Metric doesn't have the lyric "everyday" in it so that doesn't help with the ID'ing process.
Of course if you were going from memory then no probs, we've all been down that road trying to recall what we heard at that rave or club over 20 years ago. LOL

No. =( This isnt it. Thats a cool tune though!

I wish I had audio of it but I cannot find a mix with it. It's got a crazy analouge noise in it and it goes kinda haywire in the breakdown.

Ive tried to find a mix with it and endless nights on discogs. I even asked Frankie Bones and he couldnt help. =(
