Default Resources for identifying songs for Medleys

I'm working on a medley remix of Dandy Warhols "We Used To Be Friends" and wanted to create a mini-medley in the middle of the mix with songs containing the word "Friend".

I've collected a lot of songs, but want more tracks to choose from as I mix this piece.

I need some ideas of resources to use to determine all of the possible songs composed.

    Any ideas?

of course! I forgot all about this one. And you even did the search for me.

maybe you could help me make the mix too!

I'll post the results when I'm done. it's coming to together quite well.

ok, discologs.com worked well, but what about a site that offers insight on songs with yrics that contain the word "friend"?
(a song that doesn't have the word "friend" in the title but does has it in the lyrics).

I'm probably asking a bit much. I tried a couple lyric sites, but ended up getting spyware and other malicious crap. ugh!!!!

i would say google is your best bet for searching text

there are also 100s of sites that give lyrics to songs

just type a few different lines from well known songs into google and you will soon get linked to lyrics sites

    hope this helps ya

This might be worth a look

'He was a friend of mine' is a traditional song, done by Bob Dylan and The Byrds, amongst others

He was a friend of mine
And he was a friend of mine
Every time I think about him now
Lord I just can’t keep from crying
’cause he was a friend of mine

He was a friend of mine
And he was a friend of mine
    He died on the road
    A thousand miles from home
And he never harmed no one
He was a friend of mine
And he was a friend of mine
